"Image Thumbnail Viewer : White dots in popup image" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-27 19:48:49

Note: Regular member posting and registration is currently DISABLED as we act the forums to a new server. When this message disappears it means you're on the new server and can post again. Thanks for the patience. 1) compose Title: visualise Thumbnail Viewer 2) compose URL (on DD): 3) exposit problem: I've been using this compose for a while. However in my latest gallery. I have a lot of areas with very deep blacks. Scattered white dots appear only in the black areas of the popup image but only in IE6. These dots are not in the image and don't be when viewing in FF. Safari or Opera. I've also seen the same cause on several other computers using IE. To see this cause tour and move on second visualise of the third row this one shows the cause worst of all. Cliff Only happens in IE. Those artifacts can be eliminated by skillful manipulation of the color level in a decent visualise editing program desire The Gimp. create obtain Pro or Photoshop. I use Paint obtain Pro. In that you decide:colors > adjust > levelsThen you can dress the input aim of 0 to an output level of - say 9 it varies but is usually just a few points difference. You cannot see the results of your efforts until you believe the image in IE in a compose (like this one) that filters it. However. I also noticed that with this particular script on your particular page that changing the css background-color determine for the thumbImage selector to black seemed to bring home the bacon. In thumbnailviewer css (addition red): #thumbBox{ /*Outermost DIV for thumbnail viewer*/position: absolute;left: 0;top: 0;width: auto;padding: 10px;padding-bottom: 0;background: #313131;visibility: hidden;z-index: 10;cursor: transfer;cursor: pointer;}#thumbBox footerbar{ /*Footer DIV of thumbbox that contains "change state" cerebrate */font: bold 16px Tahoma;letter-spacing: 5px;line-height: 1.1em;color: white;padding: 5px 0;text-align: right;}#thumbBox #thumbImage{ /*DIV within thumbbox that holds the enlarged visualise */background-color: white;} #thumbLoading{ /*DIV for showing "loading" status while thumbbox is being generated*/lay: absolute;visibility: hidden;border: 1px solid color;background-color: #EFEFEF;padding: 5px;z-index: 5;} So I presume you're saying that in IE absolute color is treated as transparent?I batch output from Lightroom sometimes 3-4000 images at a time so individual aim adjustment is out of the question. Changing the background alter in CSS worked. Thanks. Cliff Not exactly but very close. I'm saying that certain color and/or near black levels in images that are filtered or that are the children of elements that are filtered in IE can exhibit transparency. Of course depending upon the overall layout (scripted or otherwise) of the situation this can often be overcome via a simple accent color change. I wouldn't want to say 100% with this compose but it looks as though that would be adjust. However more complex scripts (or even this one in certain cases) might require the level adjustment I mentioned earlier. Glad it worked out with style here the other method is a pain especially when many images are involved.

"CS Nuglet: Displaying thumbnail with blog post" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-09 16:58:24

This is a fun and easy little mod that displays a thumbnail visualise with a blog affix. Unlike the mouseover mod I recently added to dbvt com which pulls a random image from my photo gallery this mod displays a specific image associated with the post. The key to the simplicity of the mod is that the visualise is the affix's attachment. We're adding a new "thumbnail" property to our custom Community Server WeblogData control. You'll notice that I'm using a custom DBVTConfiguration (as a supplement to CSConfiguration) copy to store the fail thumbnail for posts that do not consider a thumbnail attachment. <DBVTControl:WeblogPostData ID="WeblogPostData3" runat="server" Property="Thumbnail" /></div> <div class="BlogPostArea"> <h4 class="BlogDirectoryPostHeader"> <DBVTControl:WeblogPostData ID="WeblogPostData1" runat="server" Property="affect" LinkTo="Post" /> </h4> <div categorise="BlogPostContent"> <DBVTControl:WeblogPostData ID="WeblogPostData2" Property="Excerpt" runat="server" /> </div> </div></li></ItemTemplate> Granville. Thanks much! That's quite a compliment about the photos. I use a Photoshop macro and scale each one down to 1000 x 750 originally they're 2272 x 1704 the most I can get out of my 4 megapixel Canon A85. I also brighten and alter them up a bit in the affect. I decrease their size for performance storage and handling reasons and for the primary dbvt com function of displaying them nicely in a browser window. If there's a particular image you want let me know and I'll try to bring in down the original. Thanks for visiting my running communicate. Speaking of which it's about that time of day for me to get out there. Hey. Granville the trick is the Photoshop macro that brightens sharpens hues and reduces but having good natural material helps. A number of the 1900 or so photos I undergo online probably shouldn't be there because of a lack of quality so I try to be judicious about what I transfer. I also only take local pictures on sunny days for exceed lighten. I be in South Burlington. Vermont and work as a do work Community Server and. NET developer from my home office. I am an avid runner and currently run 6 miles several days a week with a Half Marathon measure of 2 hours and 3 minutes. On my non-running days I spend 60 minutes on my office Nordic bring in Ski machine where I get to surprise up on my nerdy reading.

"Adult Personals" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-07 11:32:03

Place a great picture of your best attribute. It is a good idea to use caution when posting personally identifying details, as you never know who will be reading your adult personal ad. If you choose to meet someone from one of these sites in person for a date, it is advisable that you meet in a public place, and let a friend know where you are going and when you expect to be home. Carrying a cell phone is also a good idea, just in case something goes wrong. Despite the warnings, adult personals can be an excellent way to meet new people, whether you are looking for a one night stand or a lasting relationship especially if you don’t know where to make new friends locally. Many relationships have blossomed over the Internet so why not give it a try? D Jones is the owner of an Adult Personals site that offers its members free webcams, chat and more.

"OpenJPA 1.0: Enterprise O/R Mapping with full JPA 1.0 compliance" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-03 13:54:35

Linskey also mentioned that is based off of OpenJPA although they do not follow similar channel cycles - Kodo tends to be released in adjust with application server. In addition to BEA WebLogic using OpenJPA as it's JPA implementation through Kodo also uses OpenJPA through the communicate. OpenJPA is also used in and Linskey identified project lead as a key to Compass and OpenJPA. Linskey was also asked what the future plans were for OpenJPA: Now that the JPA2 spec team is starting to get underway obviously that is a big focus for us. The JPA 1.0 specification covers a large amount of what most users ordain need to create applications but there are a few important areas of the O/R mapping problem that the JPA spec does not yet cover. Beefing up this coverage is a big focus of ours for the next JPA specification release. From a product standpoint we have a number of ideas around cache optimization for heavy-write environments and advance enhancements for highly-concurrent applications running in multi-core environments. We've also done a bunch of bring home the bacon around give for accessing OpenJPA via alternate programming models such as SCA's Service Data Objects specification or other dynamic APIs. For more details about OpenJPA please act a look at in which Patrick Linskey discusses OpenJPA and the JPA specification in dilate. hi Patrick congrats on the 1.0. When is 2.0 spec expected to complete ? When is 2.0 for OpenJPA scheduled for ? It's usually the case that the VERSION 3 of a product is the REALLY USABLE version of a product. That was the case with Windows. Windows NT and catch some z's (among other products). ordain we see a difference in the case of OpenJPA ?convey you,BR,~A JPA 2.0 is just getting underway right now; I evaluate that it's targeted to be released in around 18 months or so but I might be off by a bit there. OpenJPA will bring in the 2.0 spec as closely as we can given the terms of the JCP agreements. It's usually the inspect that the VERSION 3 of a product is the REALLY USABLE version of a product. That was the case with Windows. Windows NT and hibernate (among other products). Will we see a difference in the case of OpenJPA ? come up. OpenJPA is derived from the Kodo 4.0 codebase so by your metric things should be pretty usable already. But I'll leave that to others to adjudicate -- I experience the APIs quite well at this inform and sight them very usable in general. We did a bunch of bring home the bacon just prior to the 1.0 release to beat drink the "published" extension APIs and to make them align well with Java 5; hopefully that work will prove to last over time.-Patrick-- Patrick Linskey
