Texas Subdivision Bans Sex Offenders

Amarillo. Texas (AP) -- An Amarillo. Texas subdivision has barred convicted sex offenders from owning or living in any new home in the community.
The Woodlands homeowners association says the deed restriction will not affect the 550 existing homes but will apply to new development. Deeds ordain stipulate that a homeowner cannot sell the home if the buyer or a future inhabitant is a sex offender. Violators will be required to sell the home and act.
An attorney for the developer says the homeowners association will periodically analyse the express online database of registered sex offenders.
The local chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union says the sex offender ban could unfairly accumulate a wide be of offenders together. The group's legal chair notes the case of a man who was required to enter as a sex offender because of a streaking incident. [ADVERTHERE]Related article:
