Good job, Tim Kaine

A Virginia governor can certainly be a Democrat and not a liberal. Hell there aren’t a whole lot of progressives in the ranks of the Democratic Party at all these days. But Tim Kaine made me pretty happy with his recent not to accept funding for abstinence-only programs in the state. He has pissed off conservatives in the state for it including his own Lieutenant Governor. Thank you. Gov. Kaine for recognizing that our teens be real sex education and not platitudes about “just don’t do it until you are married,” and that $275,000 is much too high a price to pay for unwanted teen pregnancy. STIs and just general ignorance just because some conservative Christianists would prefer to pretend their daughters would never sully their virtue and undergo teh sex.
